Framework of Sea Monster is Founded by China?

Framework of Sea Monster is Founded by China? – In China, the fishermen discovered a giant skeleton that resembles a dragon. The media called it “Sea Monster”.

Is that true? This news this week is quite interesting. In Shandong province, China, a group of fishermen found a skeleton which is quite large. Length is about 3.5 meters. Total vertebrae owned amounted to 153 units.

The skeleton was found by fishermen in Qingdao on March 28, 2013. Because of its shape which resembles a snake, or in this case the dragon, then the local residents gathered to watch the discovery. Even the local television station sent a reporter to cover immediately.

Some people believe that this framework is a hoax because the color and condition of this framework. Does not explain why the color and condition of this framework is the basis for calling it a hoax.

Some others believe that this framework is a framework of land mammals or other animals such as snakes. Some of them stated that the skeleton is a skeleton of sharks, especially the frilled shark species that are very appropriate to form the framework. Is this correct? Can we identify the skeletons of sea monsters this one? For starters, this photograph frilled shark.

You can see the resemblance with the framework. Long snakelike bodies and flattened heads, just as the framework. But unfortunately, we do not have an example of frilled shark framework so we can not compare it. However, I think we do not need to despair because such a framework does not belong to the possibilities for a frilled shark. Why?

Well, suppose the skeleton was not a hoax and it is the skeleton of a sea monster. When you see them, can you see what is lacking in this framework? I mean, what was supposed to be there, but not there? Each creature has a mouth large. Even though the creatures of cryptozoology though. Now, the question is: Where is the creature’s jaw bone?

Jawbone was not there.

What I mean by all this? My point is the framework is not complete because there is no jaw bone in his head. And if the framework is not complete, we should not be trying to identify just by looking at its present form. So we do not need to find a creature that looks similar to the framework (such as frilled shark or snake).

What we must do is to reconstruct the skeleton and try to guess the type of creatures. Just like a paleontologist who is trying to reconstruct a dinosaur shape of the skeleton is not complete. So where do we start? We will start from the most simple. If we were asked to name the sea creatures are large, what soon appear in our thinking? I think of two, namely whales and sharks.

Because the frame length is only 3.5 meters, then we will start from the Sharks. Perhaps one of you there is still a strange feeling and thinking like this: “Wait, why bother checking shark skeleton. Obviously a framework that does not resemble the framework of a fish!” I can understand.

If we look at the skeleton of sharks above, we can see if the bone is indeed long shark body bone resembles a snake. So, for bone weight, we get something in common. Not only that, for the tail else we have in common. And what about his head? As I said above, this creature’s skull is not complete because there is no jawbone. So, let’s compare the following examples shark skull, complete with the jawbone.

It is clear that the skull found the fisherman have in common with the upper part of the skull Sharks called Chondrocranium. See the section I marked with yellow lines.

To further strengthen it, here is a picture of a white shark chondrocranium made by Parker (1887) are compared with the head of  our “monster”.

Similar. So we can conclude that the framework “sea monster” that is actually a shark, possibly a white shark as sketched above. Thus obtained evidence is strong enough and we no longer need to spend time researching whale skeleton. Misunderstandings like this are common if not understand the anatomy of living beings.

Similar cases have occurred several times when most people thought the skeleton of a six-legged dragon or Gajah Mina are in fact merely the skeleton of a Pope. But thank you for the internet, we do not need to learn a set of encyclopedias to solve this case.
